The Donutsu Mug ($14), designed by PCP, an artist based in LA and Tokyo, who works as a freelance illustrator/desginer, and a maker of picture books. His illustrations have been featured in international art magazines such as Digmeout, +81 and MdN. Exhibited at Giant Robot (LA), Compound (Portland), Gallery Revel(NYC), and Digmeout CAFE (Osaka).

By promoting the work of world-renowned artists, Poketo takes their beautiful artwork off the gallery walls, and makes them a part of everyday life. I’m told, Poketo has some very interesting and famous fans (Weezer, Dominic Monaghan, The Postal Service, Lenka, Dave Eggers, Blake Lewis, The Shins and Nike to name a few).

What goes great with coffee? A terrific book, right? How about one that also helps needy kids?

The latest Toys for Tots holiday anthology (The Gift of Murder) of 19 fictional crime stories was recently released. It sells for $10.80 at Amazon.com. It’s available at lots of other places too. See info from the publisher, Wolfmont Press: The Gift of Murder.

All publisher profits go to the Marine charity, the Toys for Tots Foundation. It’s the perfect gift for those who love crime fiction and have soft spots in their hearts for children.

One of author Gail Farrelly’s stories, ”The Kindle Did It,” is included in the book. You’ve heard about Road Rage. Well, her story is all about Kindle Rage. Farrelly was happy to donate her story to the book. In this economic climate, there will be many needy kids around the holidays.
